According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2017), as few as 4.5 percent of welders are women. ... According to Sue Silverstein, a welder striving to drive change in the field, women absolutely should consider careers in welding, as there is ample opportunity and room for advancement.



Meet Welder Speaker - Lindsey McNamara

Lindsey is a West Point grad and a retired Army Officer. She is a designer, artist, and 3rd generation handyman. She left the army in 2011 and went to welding school in 2012 to satisfy her curiosity and pick up a hobby - and almost immediately, people started asking her to fabricate custom work, and Red's Welding was born. She regularly takes time off to guest teach at shop classes in Denver, as well as participate in public speaking/outreach to youth about the trades. She is an active member of the American Welding society and enjoys long hikes up 14e

This webinar is free for girls from 8-23, but they must be registered to attend.
