High Performance Basement with Insulated Concrete Forms

On this edition of High Performance Build on Offsite Dirt, Mark Wille, Aron Jones, and Joe Konopacki review the assembly details of Shaun St-Amour's latest basement. The work by the specialists that are working on Clay Construction Inc.'s high performance project, showcase a high-performance basement, utilizing Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for superior insulation and structural strength.

By integrating a Stego membrane, a durable vapor control layer, to prevent moisture infiltration and enhance indoor air quality, the team will ensure optimal air sealing by carefully sealing all gaps and joints in the foundation and walls. With combination of ICF construction and meticulous air sealing with a Stego membrane will result in a well-insulated, energy-efficient, and moisture-resistant basement space.
