Women Confidence Builders is a nonprofit organization passionately committed to furnishing events, mentoring programs, public speaking engagements, and consultancy services. Their core mission centers on uplifting and supporting women in the business landscape across the region. The organization is spearheaded by Christi Powell, President of Women Confidence Builders and Women Business Enterprise Lead for 84 Lumber.
A focal point of the summit is the insightful conversation moderated by Powell, featuring Tedrick and Ceccarelli. The discourse revolves around their collaborative work, "Innovating for Diversity: Pioneering Business Success through Inclusivity at Leading Corporations." This publication reframes the discourse on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), propelling it beyond mere human resources concern.
Susanne Tedrick is a fervent advocate for amplifying diversity, equity, and inclusion within the technology sector through education, mentorship, and advocacy. Her commitment extends to volunteering with several nonprofit organizations. She holds key roles such as Chair of the Advancing Tech Talent and Diversity Executive Council for CompTIA and coalition member for NPower's Command Shift initiative, a prominent nonprofit dedicated to launching tech careers for young adults and military-connected individuals. Tedrick is also celebrated for her acclaimed work, "Women of Color in Tech," and her role as host for Wiley's Diversity in Tech webinar series.
Ceccarelli, as the CEO of NPower, is steadfast in her pursuit of dismantling barriers to social and economic mobility. She draws endless inspiration from the journeys of NPower alumni and visionary corporate employers who recognize potential where others might see limitations. Under her guidance, NPower's budget has quintupled in the past six years, now annually serving more than 2,000 individuals.
The event is proudly presented by BMW as the title sponsor, while Carolina Power assumes the role of the presenting sponsor. Hugs & Hustle, a women-owned business, claims the title of presenting sponsor, alongside Hill Electric as the Student and Inclusion Sponsor.
